Well, there are no two ways about it: Last night was great!
With the kind of squalls on the radar that keep the wind between 14 and 20 knots relative, we were tearing along at a fine pace, and 9,5 knots was sighted by the other watch.
In the course of the morning, the wind went down, and we are now at the 3,5 mark, occasionally more, often less. This is a little below the average we need to make, but for the moment we can afford to float at this speed.
Here on board, the VC are being prepared for their pin rail race in a few days from now.
The most noteworthy thing today, however, is the desert that Gjalt and Sascha came up with: custard with brownie, whipped cream, and almonds.
Absolute heaven!
Best Regards
Hans
