The (almost) daily ritual of deckwash starts at 0730 hrs.
The noise of the pump bringing the seawater to the decks is a wake-up call that is not equally appreciated by all crew-members.
Nevertheless the exercise of scrubbing ahead of the firehose chasing the scrubbers, is meant to clean the ship.
All the lost crumbs of lunch and of the cookies served at coffeetime are washed into the sea.
Some fishes have a feast on what they have probably never tasted before.
It's a pity they are not able to tell the galley-girls how much they liked it.
