On our way from Horta to Amsterdam we had some extra time and spend more then 2 days at the Channel Islands. The stop was perfect, easterly winds in the channel and no point of beating into that. Instead we had a lovely sail in between the islands.
After visiting Guernsey and Sark we continued and instead of the usual 'typical English' weather in the channel, we had sunshine and the see was like a mirror.
For a sailor this means bad news, but on the other hand, the nights are sparkling beautiful and it gives you a change to take pictures from a different angle.
To finish the voyage properly, we do hope for a little more wind.
