Besides our permanent crew and our guides we have this Antarctica trip a special guest on board, Dr Benjamin Caceris. We asked him to introduce himself and we wil keep you updated on his research.

I’m a Marine Biologist from Punta Arenas, Chile and for the last 4 years I’ve been studying different species of marine birds and mammals of the Southern Ocean and their rol in the ecosystem. In this trip on board the EUROPA I will be collecting data of the Antarctic whale species, such as Humpbacks, Minkes and Orcas. This is part of a long term research project from the Chilean Antarctic Institute since 1993, which its main goal is to understand the use of habitat and distribution of these particular creatures.
