We have just left Ascension Island were we had a crew change. Ascension is well known to us since we have a stop here on our way north on the Atlantic Ocean. This time it fitted better in the crew planning to have a crew change here. Gives us a good opportunity to explore the island a bit more.

The voyage crew had a day or two to get away from the ship and meet other people and do something else. Everybody back on board again, all fresh and charged and we’ll continue our journey. By now we are under way again for 3 days and we have enjoyed a nice sail with these steady South-easterly Trade Winds. Ahead of us lies the area with the sailors notorious Doldrums, we’ll see what it will bring us.
